This American Japanese co-production features a Sikorsky H-19 Chickasaw helicopter and Grumman Albatross HU-16 models. The miniature effects were produced by the Daiei Studios special effects department who were responsible for the miniatures in the Gamera series of monster films.
Along with the aircraft there is an exploding ship model and a mountainous environment miniature complete with an avalanche crushing buildings.
The production designer was Eugene Lourie who was no stranger to miniature effect which in this case are fairly typical of Japanese visual effects for the period.
